I love Turtles in Time but if anyone dislikes anything on the grounds that it's unoriginal... I ask you to look at everything in the world today and really think "Is it original?" I for one play games for fun, nothing else. I play RPG games and love them, yet I always know what happens because the stories are all the same now. Same with shooters, it's just Call of Duty with a new skin slapped on and some new/extra game modes... Mario follows the same old format, Bowser kidnaps Peach, you save her by traipsing through a bunch of generic levels, blah blah blah.. But I still love it. Every game/movie/book today is a reskin/rehash of another game/movie/book that came before it. Nothing's original anymore. Deal with it and move on. The well of creativity ran dry long ago... If you don't like it you should try to make something yourself and stop complaining about shit like this. Like children.
Since this is going on facebook where you all know me and how I am in real life you know that I love artsy stuff. I write, I draw, ect. I have ideas for stories and books and this-es and thats... But I know my stuff isn't original and I don't claim it to be. The story idea I have had for years and years is basically Chrono Trigger, Lord of the Rings, and Eragon mashed together. Some would say it's original but if you pull it apart the only real originality to it would be the character/location names. If even that. I've done what everyone else does. I pull from a large sum of similar works and tweak things to fit my need. There's an evil king in a lot of fantasy, I like the idea so there's that. The king's the main guy's father? They have family issues? There's that too. (Star Wars comes to mind before all else.) Ect.. Ect.. Blah blah blah. If you pull anything apart and dissect it enough you'll notice that everything is the same in this way. Everything in life pulls from something else in life that has come before it. It will always be that way.
With this mindset any argument dealing with any form of originality can be ended just as quickly as it may have arrived. I just wish the idiots that I read arguing about this shit could see this. It would shut them up, I'm sure. (And for the record I'm specifically referring to a few youtube users who were arguing back and forth. I would also hate to offend anyone, but the truth is the truth. Ce la vie.)

Since this is a blog post now comments are welcome. However it should go without saying that any petty hatred and internet fighting will not be tolerated and is completely uncalled for. I don't care what goes on outside but in this little realm of mine I would like to think we shall all behave like civil adults. To quote Thumper: "Mom always says that if you don't have anything nice to say about someone you shouldn't say anything at all."
